what will the future hold?

The career that i see my self in the future is a neonatologist or a reproductive endocrinologist. When I took the career zone quiz the career options were very similar to the one I want to pursue. Some of the suggestions that it gave me was a neurologist, medical social worker, etc. It didn't change my career path but I did learn around how much time it takes to become different types of doctors, and how much time it would take me to become a reproductive endocrinologist or neonatologist. I also learned that there are many different doctors if I ever decided to change my career.

I have always wanted to be a doctor but I used to want to be a pediatrician but pediatricians only do yearly visits or if a child is sick/unwell. But a neonatologist is a subspecialty of pediatrics that focuses on the care of newborn babies. Especially the sick ones such as prematurity, birth asphyxia, low birth weight, etc. while my other option is a reproductive endocrinologist that specializes in infertility treatments, they also do things such as freezing eggs, etc.

What it would take to make it a reality is if I want to be a neonatologist I would do 4 years to have a college degree, 4 years of medical school, 3 years pediatric internship and residency, and a 3-year neonatology fellowship. If I want to be a reproductive endocrinologist I need to do 4 years of a college degree, bachelor's degree, medical school, and residency program. So I pretty much need yo do the same amount of school to be either one of my options.
